Terrain Biennial 2019

Terrain Exhibitions, an arts organization started by Sabina Ott in 2011, has opened its 2019 Biennial, which will be open internationally from October 1st through November 17th. The Terrain Biennial is unlike any other art festival. It takes place on lawns, on porches, beneath awnings, and in windows. Residents partner with artists to bring striking artwork into their communities. This year’s theme is to take stock of the landscape that people are living in today. What is the terrain that we occupy?

The event has expanded to over 30 cities around the world; including Chicago, Oak Park, and Evanston. Civic Projects has created the graphics for this year’s promotional campaign, as well as an interactive map of all the installations, which are free and open to the public.
