Civic Projects and Mobile Makers Chicago was engaged by the Museum of Science and Industry’s Education Department to explore the role that science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) can play in community-centric programming. Our team has partnered to guide workshops and conversations across Chicago. Our research partners also include RAA.

Our community engagement has focused on understanding how to expand access to science, play, and technology. We’re excited by the opportunity to bring the museum beyond the museum walls and to redefine the role of museum education programming as a tool to connect within communities.
