Experimental Station in Woodlawn began renovations in 2001, and now includes incubation space for a number of non-profits such as City Bureau and Blackstone Bicycle Works. Incorporating the remnants of a parking structure, much of the original building was conceived by Artist, Dan Peterman with Tom Brock as architect.
In early 2018, Civic Projects built out the last remaining 1,000 square feet of space to be used as shared offices. Designed in collaboration with artist and fabricator John Preus, we carefully selected and detailed the space utilizing sustainable materials. Recycled plastic lumber, reclaimed choir room windows and re-purposed doors all found new life in our offices.
